Governor Gary Herbert speaks during the PBS Utah Governor's Monthly News Conference held Thursday morning

Governor Gary Herbert provided an update regarding mandates and public health orders to Utah residents Thursday morning as part of the PBS Utah Governor's Monthly News Conference. Gov. Herbert indicated that current mandates restricting gatherings of people from different households, will not be extended beyond November 23rd. He did however, stress the importance of advance planning so that holiday gatherings are done safely and strongly encouraged that current mandates regarding gatherings are used as the general guidelines for Thanksgiving weekend. Specific recommendations for holiday gatherings and other tips are available at coronavirus.utah.gov/holidays

Governor Herbert also reminded residents that the face mask mandate will remain in effect.
