DUCHESNE--Officials with Ashley National Forest have been hosting open houses throughout the Basin to receive public input on a revision of the 1986 Forest Land Management plan.

The plan is currently in the public input stage. Individuals have attended the events that have an interest in recreation, grazing and timber harvesting on the 1.3 million acres that make up the Ashley National Forest.

The plan will now enter a drafting phase, after which the public will again have the opportunity to make comments. To keep up to date on the process of the plan follow Ashley National Forest on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/AshleyNationalForest/
