VERNAL--United States Senator Mitt Romney visited Vernal on Tuesday, August 20th to talk with local officials about the future of the area and to conduct a Townhall Meeting.

Romney said, “During the campaign I was asked time and again, would I be coming back? Would I listen to people here, and hear what people’s concerns are, and the answer is yeah. So, I’m back to talk to folks. We’ll have a town meeting this evening and hear what people’s concerns are and do our very best so that we can represent those concerns back in Washington.”

Over 50 locals gathered at the Uintah Conference Center to voice their concerns to Romney. Questions regarding public lands, gun control, and balancing the federal budget, were asked.

Romney encouraged basin citizens to reach out to his office at any time with their questions or concerns. His staff can be reached at (801) 524-4380.

Senator Romney does not care about Utah he only cares about furthering his political career. Or he would have run for office in his home state and not depended on Utahs religious folks to get him elected. He should go back home and let a Utahan that cares about Utah hold this office!
