VERNAL--Uintah School District hosted Collin Kartchner, a teen mental health expert, on Tuesday, September 10th for a parent night at Vernal Middle School.

Kartchner decided to fight Instagram with Instagram. Two months later Kartchner started a nationwide movement called #SavetheKids and has been on a crusade to help young people rise above the negative mental health effects of screen time ever since.

Parents were sent home from the event with several ideas on how to start conversations with their kids, as well as recommended reading materials.

Kartchner also spoke to the youth of the Uintah School District on Wednesday, September 11th. More information can be found at https://www.collinkartchner.com/.
