Hilarity was brought to the Vernal Theatre on Saturday March 7 as the comedy duo Andrew Hobbs and Jordan Makin from Utah County came to crack jokes about their lives experiences. Their show consisted of internet trolling to the highest degree, embarrassing childhood memories, and FitBits.
“We love coming to this town,” said Jordan Makin before the show, “they get all of the jokes that are about growing up in Utah and they’re really good at interacting with us.”
This is the third time they’ve come to Vernal so they really know how the crowd reacts to some of their jokes. The show had completely new material with some jokes being specifically catered to life in a small town like Vernal.
“This place kind of reminds me of my childhood home in Idaho,” said Andrew Hobbs during one of his jokes, “it’s just like that place that secluded me from civilization and from anything fun.”
The show went exceptionally well as more than 100 people attended, which has given them more reason to come back to the Uintah Basin for future shows.
